PTU 1 The Tilly Head

The Tilly Head and PTU range is designed as an enhancement to training, ensuring your learners are fully engaged right from the start. The Tilly Head is a very versatile tool that can be used in a multitude of ways for learners’ studying at all levels, including facials, Hopi ear candle, Indian Head Massage, Auricular Therapy, Lash Application and forms an attachment for our extensive range of PTU training masks.

• The Tilly Head and PTU range are lifelike and should be handled with care, we advise that they are ideally stored in the specifically designed PTU Storage bag.

• The Tilly Head and PTU range should be handled in the same way that you would a live model with the utmost care, whilst their primary use is for learners to perfect their treatment application, gain confidence and learn new techniques, the PTUs also encourage the learner to establish the same level of client dignity as they would a live model.

• Expensive salon products are wasted on the Tilly Head as unlike a live model the PTUs are not organic and do not have an allergenic skin.

  Therefore:

• Changes to the skin’s condition post treatment will not be evident as you would expect to see on a live model.

• A less expensive non-professional product can be used to cleanse the PTU’s as a substitute to the cleansing products that would normally be acceptable for use on human skin.

• For demonstration and practice purpos­es exfoliating scrubs and masks can be used directly onto the PTU surface without causing damage

• Simple warm soapy water will also be effective to cleanse the PTU.

• We recommend the use of anti-bacterial wipes before and after each use to reduce the risk of cross infection.

PTU 2 Electrolysis Probing Mask

The PTU Probing Mask is an excellent tool, enabling learners to perfect their electrolysis probing techniques. This mask will help needle phobic learners to overcome any nerves or apprehensions, whilst gaining confidence when performing electrolysis.

• Simple warm soapy water will also be effective to cleanse the PTU.

• We recommend the use of anti-bacterial wipes before and after each use to reduce the risk of cross infection.

PTU 3 Underarm/Bikini Probing Pad

The unique PTU Underarm and Bikini Probing Pad fully demonstrates the hair growth pattern found in these intimate areas. The probing pad can be used on the stand provided or placed over the clothing of a live model.

• Simple warm soapy water will also be effective to cleanse the PTU.

• We recommend the use of anti-bacterial wipes before and after each use to reduce the risk of cross infection.

PTU 4, 5 & 6  TLT  Make-Up Masks 

The PTU Make-up masks are very diverse and are available in three skin tones, light, medium and dark.

The PTU Make-up mask is particularly beneficial to the theatrical and media make-up learner in creating a 3D mood board. Often the demand on the make-up artist to produce an intricate and elaborate design includes the use of prosthetics.

The PTU Make-up mask is an excellent tool for the intricate work of prosthetic application, from casualty wound effects, animation, aliens, and special effects. Whatever the task, the PTU Make-up Mask will provide the blank canvas for the learner to work through developing these skills.

• When using the PTU Make-up Masks you should ensure that the Velcro ties on the masks are used correctly, and not over extended as this can cause damage to the mask.

PTU 7 Hand and Arm and PTU 8 Foot and Leg

The PTU Hand and Arm and Foot and Leg is suitable for learners working at all levels.

• The fingers and toe bed can be used for manicure and pedicure treatments, however, when perfecting nail polish, gel polish or artificial nail techniques, a false nail tip MUST always be applied to the nail bed, as acetone and nail polish remover MUST NOT BE used directly onto the PTU as this will cause damage.

• The fingers and toes should not be over-extended as this could cause them damage as with a live model this would cause them discomfort.

PTU 13 Skin Tag Removal Pad

The unique PTU Skin Tag Removal Pad gives the learner an opportunity to develop the skills required for this advanced treatment.

• Simple warm soapy water will also be effective to cleanse the PTU.

• We recommend the use of anti-bacterial wipes before and after each use to reduce the risk of cross infection.

PTU 14 Eyes and Lips

The PTU Detachable Eyes and Lips are designed for the study of semi-permanent make-up. The intricate application of eyebrow tattooing, eye liner, lip liner and eye enhancement require many hours of practice before confidently working on a live model.

• We advise that you use a non-waterproof liquid eyeliner or lip liner when working on the PTU 14.

• The PTU 14 can be cleansed using a standard eye make-up remover, cleansing wipe or simple soapy water.

• Please DO NOT APPLY the permanent ink that is used in the treatment of tattooing as this will stain the PTU which will not be reusable.

• We recommend the use of anti-bacterial wipes before and after each use to reduce the risk of cross infection.

• The PTU Eyes and Lips are designed to fit into the PTU Tilly Head Mask and are designed to be used in this way only
