Laraine Morris has been in the Hair and Beauty industry for over 40 years and has been teaching for more than 30 years. In this time she has worked as a therapist, lecturer, external verifier and business owner.
A few years ago Laraine identified a niche in the market for training aids for the beauty industry. She founded TLT Enterprises to research, develop, manufacture and supply these products, PTUs (Practical Therapy Units) to enhance professional training in all Beauty Therapy, Theatrical, Photographic and Media Make-up subjects.
The original TLT PTU range benefits from ongoing research and development as we update and extend our range of PTUs, in line with new treatments and qualifications to meet the advances in technology.
The VTCT endorsed PTUs streamline the learning process and benefits the learners by:
Enabling the learner to perfect skills and services.
Building confidence, which significantly reduces training time and fully engages the learners throughout every practical session.
Providing access to learners of all levels, ages and skills sets to the world of Beauty Therapy.
Bridging the gap between theory and the practical application of those theories on models.
Colleges find the TLT PTUs to be:
Cost effective and beneficial to their Recruitment, Retention and Achievement figures.
Helpful, improving classroom management by keeping learners engaged.
Supportive, enabling greater group interaction with full tutor support.
Effective in tailoring the learning experience to facilitate changing classroom requirements, which gives tutors greater flexibility.
Market demand is ever increasing for highly skilled, qualified therapists and the pressure on colleges to provide them is just as great. Keeping learners engaged in expanding class sizes, combined with additional financial constraints on institutions, makes training aids such as the TLT PTUs a crucial and cost effective addition to the modern classroom.
Our product range, present and future, reduces reliance on other methods that are outdated, time consuming and impractical in today's learning environment.
